Dmitriy Nazarenko spent 10 years DJing in his hometown of Smolensk, where he became a local star and trendsetter. He introduced the city to hard-hitting techno and made it widespread. Because of him, electronic music is predominant in Smolensk nowadays. But he moved on. Now he goes under the name of K.A.T.A., lives in Saint-Petersburg and makes his own productions. He developed his own unique style that combines the sounds of leftfield techno with the raw and banging basslines of electro.
