Red Bull Music Academy Clubnight: Fatima Al Qadiri @ Cakeshop, Seoul
On Thursday, November 20th, the Red Bull Music Academy is bringing yet another talented artist to Seoul in the form of Fatima Al Qadiri. The Senegal-born, Kuwait-raised, and Brooklyn-based Al Qadiri is multi-talented, finding success with photography, visual arts, and, of course, music. Creating music under her own name and also as Ayshay, she doesn’t limit herself to one genre. With music falling under genres such as juke, hip hop, dubstep, electro-tropicalia, and ’90s Gregorian trance, her set on the 20th will be something different than what you hear blasting from every other club around the city. Support will come from Seoul’s Mood Schula, Akimbo, and Graye. The event kicks off at 10 PM at Cakeshop in Itaewon. The cover charge is 20,000 KRW, which includes 1 free drink. There is a guestlist (http://bit.ly/1AZDa0m NAME, PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS), but it looks like their only allowing a maximum 100 people to register on it. You can find more information on the Facebook event page, but it appears that both the Facebook and registration pages are only in Korean at the moment.
