Friday March 7th

Onra @ Cakeshop
Onra is a top notch beatmaker and crate digger from Paris, France. This live set will be a breath of fresh air in the South Korean electronic scene!  Check out his EP Deep in the Night on Fool’s Gold Records or his Chinoiseries albums that blend hiphop with Chinese and Vietnamese records that he hand selected.  Get more info here.

Jaguar Skills @ The A
Anyone that wears a balaclava during a DJ set has to be cool, right?  Jaguar Skills is a British DJ that was in Korea for Global Gathering back in 2012.  He impressed a lot of people, so expect this to be a good turnout.  The guy has released hundreds of mix tapes and is well know for his cut n paste style DJing.  If you are into DJs that have serious skills (you should be), then you won’t want to miss this set!  Get more info here.

Saturday March 8th

Deviant x Stylewiki Presents: Funkin’ Deep Vol. 5 @ Venue/
If big clubs aren’t your thing, you’ll appreciate the intimacy and musical tastes of Venue/.  On Saturday night, Deviant is back for the fifth installment of Funkin’ Deep.  They’re teaming up this time with Stylewiki, which is giving away two pieces of jewelry from its “Vicky by Stylewiki” line.  Get ready for the warmer weather by getting down to back-to-back deep house and funky soul sets from C. Dreads (UK) and Ian L (USA).  Get more info here.

DMZ: Farewell to MC Lucid
There’s no better party in town for fans of drum n’ bass!  This is a very special edition of DMZ, since they are saying good bye to the talented MC Lucid.  We released a sneak peek to our upcoming cover feature on DMZ here.  Check it out for more information on the DMZ crew, Korea’s bass movement, and this event!

Baths @ Rolling Hall
We gave away two pairs of tickets to this show, so we definitely are adding this to our list of hot events this weekend.  Although opportunities to see unique, electronic acts are starting to occur more often in South Korea, you shouldn’t pass up on this one.  If watching DJs doesn’t necessarily appeal to you, Baths’ musical, vocal, and performance skills should definitely do the trick.  Oh, one more thing – Sarovia and dream pop producer Yukari are opening.  Awesome! Get more info here.
